Single or double wood casement (swing out) windows pose a fall risk for young children. This decorative latch system can be set to restrict the window from opening beyond 4”. But, remember, this latch cannot be “disarmed” if this is a window that you would need for egress in case of fire. For that purpose, we recommend using the Window Chain & Hook instead.
